Hi! I'm Sōn!

​I am Sonja Davis-Lawrence aka Sōn, a self-taught artist creating abstract, collage, fluid, and mixed media art. I started my creative journey at 68, and use color, texture, fragments, and unexpected pairings to explore identity, culture, humor, beauty, and the many stories people carry. My art invites viewers to look beyond tidy definitions, discover their own interpretations, and embrace the freedom of reinvention at any stage of life. Each piece is an open conversation between imagination, experience, and possibility.
